O&G Map

Explore obstetrics and gynaecology (O&G) services across Australia, including population and workforce data, and service locations in rural, regional and remote areas.

About the Mapping Project

mini传媒入口 developed the O&G Map with funding from the Australian Department of Health and Aged Care, as a tool for exploring O&G health services. The project is part of a wider initiative entitled: Mapping Maternal Health and Gynaecological Services in Rural, Regional and Remote Australia: Uptake, Barriers and Recommendations (or the Mapping Project for short).

The Mapping Project aimed to:

map the geographic distribution of O&G services, the O&G workforce and levels of service in rural, regional and remote Australia

identify service and workforce gaps, and barriers to effective service delivery

The O&G Map is anticipated to support future service and workforce planning, and to facilitate steps towards achieving equitable access for all women, regardless of where they live.
