Introduction

This page details some of the major committees and working groups that govern the work of the College.

It is not an exhaustive list; the functions and activities of the mini传媒入口 Board and Council are supported by around 50 committees and working groups, which meet regularly and make recommendations to the mini传媒入口 Board on a range of matters pertaining to women鈥檚 health.

Aotearoa New Zealand and Global Health

Function

To oversee and coordinate Fmini传媒入口 Trainees and Basic and Advanced training posts within and across Integrated mini传媒入口 Programs (ITP) in New Zealand.

Function

To support and promote collaboration between mini传媒入口 and organisations or individuals active in women’s and family health in developing countries and raise awareness of issues in women’s and family health in these countries

Education

Conjoint Committee for Associate Procedural mini传媒入口 (CCAPT)

Function

To define and oversee all aspects of education, training and (re) certification in relation to qualifications awarded jointly by mini传媒入口, ACRRM and RACGP, including but not limited to the training programs known as the Certificate of Women’s Health, mini传媒入口 Associate mini传媒入口 Program (Procedural), and mini传媒入口 Associate mini传媒入口 Program (Adv. Procedural).

Education Standards Committee (ESC)

Function

Oversees ongoing development and implementation of educational standards across all mini传媒入口 education, training, assessment, and accreditation. Responsible for mini传媒入口 training programs, including regular monitoring and evaluation and Board-delegated to make decisions relating to its area of responsibility.

Function

Responsible for overseeing the formulation and review of the training, assessment, and accreditation policies leading towards attainment of subspeciality certification of mini传媒入口 through its five subcommittees.

Function

Responsible for ongoing development, coordination and administration of the Fmini传媒入口 mini传媒入口 Program in cooperation with State, Territory, and New Zealand TACs, and for reviewing the processes for accreditation and reaccreditation of training sites leading towards the attainment of Fellowship of the College.

Function

Function

To represent the interest and concern of mini传媒入口 trainees and specialist international medical graduates (SIMGs) in discussion and decision-making relating to training and assessment, as well as broader issues relating to the discipline of obstetrics and gynaecology.

One Fmini传媒入口 trainee representative each from South Australia/Northern Territory, Western Australia, the ACT, and Tasmania

Function

State and Territory Committees

Function

The seven State and Territory Committees discuss and act upon any matter or interest to obstetricians and gynaecologists practising in each State and Territory (S&T), and provided it does not conflict with existing mini传媒入口 policies, to act upon determinations arising from these discussions. They also establish a S&T TAC (see previous accordion) to undertake training accreditation activities within each region with reference to the individual State TACs Terms of Reference and New Zealand TAC Terms of Reference.

Function

Fellowship Review Committee (FRC)

Function

To review and make recommendations in regard to the progress of Fellows who fail to complete the requirements of the College’s CPD program, and to consider applications for reinstatement to active Fellowship of mini传媒入口 from resigned/retired Fellows, Fellows who submit plans for re-entry into practice, or suspended Fellows whose Fellowship is suspended as a result of a recommendation from this Committee.

Consumer Network Working Group (CNWG)

Function

To act as a source of support for the College, providing an independent patient and public perspective from a diverse range of women’s health consumers in Australia and New Zealand.

Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Women’s Health Committee

Function

To act as an advocate for and provide advice to the mini传媒入口 Board with regard to matters relating to the health and wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women.

One Fellow who identifies as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander who shall Chair the Committee

One Fellow, Associate (Procedural/Advanced Procedural) or trainee who identifies as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander, who shall be Deputy Chair

Reconciliation Action Plan Working Group (RAP)

Function

To facilitate in the development of a College Reconciliation Action Plan within the context of the College鈥檚 core business and aligned with:

Overarching strategic, corporate, and business plans;

Any existing supplier diversity strategy; and

Any existing equity and diversity policies.  

Consult with Reconciliation Australia at regular intervals during the RAP development process to ensure the plan includes the elements required for endorsement prior to being launched or released publicly

Facilitate consultation between internal and external stakeholders, identified by RAP and Reconciliation Australia

Liaison with the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Women鈥檚 Health Committee

Develop a new RAP when the current RAP expires

Cultural Safety Steering Group (CSSG)

Function

To embed cultural safety in mini传媒入口 training programs, codes of conduct and professional standards and suggest ways in which culturally safe practice can be best be included in mini传媒入口 activities such as through the development of revisions of existing mini传媒入口 statements, guidelines and other documents.
